If you ask me, Under the Ashes may very well be the flagship record of this current crust revival. Unlike World Burns to Death who throw in some Japanese influences in places and Disclose who are so faithful to the Discharge aesthetic to at times border on parody, Framtid's music is straight up crust punk done EXACTLY like it should be done. In a word, it is definitive, from the distorted guitars to the driving d-beat rhythms to the homogenous song structures to the black and white, cut-and-paste artwork.

rrrroar...I saw them playing in Brno, Czech couple days ago and I have to say it was amazing. If you were in first line in the crowd it would seems to be just a wall of noise, but it was fantastic. Great band.

Wow, this record did cook my ears. The guitar sound is really OTT like it had been processed by 15 different pedal effects at the same time, fuzzed and distorted to the max !! And you´ll need a aural exciter to bring out the cymbals, which seem not to have been miked at all, but are there nonetheless. The most brutal and exciting 17´s I´ve ever burned on cd-r !! Thanx a lot for uploading this gem. I have a DVD called ¨All Crusties Spending Loud Night¨on which this bnd play 2 of the songs on Under The Ashes. Get it while it´s still in print, you´re gonna be thrilled by all 10 jap bands on it !!
